“A raised bed vegetable garden provides two important aspects to your gardening experience. It will allow any excess water to drain out faster and it allows the soil to warm up more quickly. Therefore, you may well be able to grow vegetables in a climate that normally you would not attempt.”
If you want it even hotter, use heat absorbing bricks for the walls and lay some pieces of glass over the top to trap the heat in.

This is perhaps the best information I have posted on the blog to date. It is very well put together and shows some children in Africa constructing a raised vegetable garden at their school.

Because of the rocky ground and monsoon weather, the raised vegetable garden is vital to the success of helping people in certain parts of Africa overcome famine and poverty.

It is the sort of video that once you finish watching it makes you want to start growing one in your own garden straight away.
