Raised Vegetable Bed Video Diary of Keyhole Project
Here’s another great instructional guide to making a raised vegetable bed. The video tells the story of how in just 8 hours the bed was created out of rocks that were scattered nearby.
I found it particularly interesting listening to how the rocks in the wall absorb heat and therefore extend your growing season by around a month at the start and end. Something else that I didn’t know was that you can lay pieces of glass over the raised vegetable bed to trap the heat further.
This video has quite a few really good tips. The design is circular as opposed to the conventional rectangle, because less ground is wasted to paths in this way. Personally I think it looks more interesting too.
