can you build a raised vegetable garden on concrete?

sure you can but the most important thing is to use at 12 inch 2 by’s and drill 1 inch holes every 12 inches apart all the way around the bottom..right on the bottom on all 4 sides…Drainage would be your main enemy on concrete. just drain it well…

Yes you can. Just build your box deep enough, add the soil and plants or seeds. Don’t forget that plants in containers need to be watered more often because they don’t get moisture from the lawn. Flowers can grow this way too. I have a lot of container plants on my patio and deck, some are veggies. I love my little garden!

1ve grown planters many times , first you can use 4×4 treated lumber measer how big you want and build but with wood put a liner inside , or if crafty and good with bricks and mason always look great good luck many sites on line for desings

I used 4×4 timbers double high and filled with top soil many years ago. Use treated timbers and only plant flowers the first year. After that you can put in your vegies. I didn’t drill drain holes and haven’t had any problems. When I over water or we get a lot of rain the access just runs out under the timbers.
